Are All Your Eggs in One Basket?
by: Dan Moses
There once was a time that I had over 300 downline
members in a Network marking company and I was
bringing in pretty good checks every week.
Then one day I woke up and it was ALL gone!
Has that every happened to you?
Now it really doesn't matter what happened to that
company, what matters is that all my eggs were in
one basket and when they where closed down for
investigation by the FTC, my income stopped.
I wasn't promoting some illegal company or
personally doing anything wrong. The bottom line
was not enough people were making money with
the company and the FTC wanted to find out why.
A few months later this company came out okay, but by
that time... they had lost ALL their momentum and I had lost
ALL my income and downline (they went somewhere else).
I was devastated. I was very upset and lost everything
I had spent 2 years to build. But I didn't give up!
Actually, something changed in me... I told myself I would
never put myself (or my downline) in that position again.
I would never put all my eggs in one basket.
So, what I did next was the best move of my life. I got
online and made it my passion to find a way to make
money not only from one program online, but from many
programs online.
Not only was I able to make this work for me, I now make
money from about 37 online income systems and programs
(some I own and others I promote as an affiliate). I learned
to never put all my eggs in one basket again.
Now, I think it's kind of funny because most network marketing
gurus will tell you to only focus on one program and then keep
investing in that program over and over again.
I say no way... Yes, work that program until you make some
decent money from it, but don't stop there. Take some of
that money and invest it in another program.
What's better... making $20,000 a month in one program, or
20 programs that each make you $1,000 a month?
Well, I'm pretty sure you understand that if you can make $1,000
from 20 programs you're going to be better off.
Yes, I will be honest with you and say that it can be harder to keep
up on 20 programs, than one program, but you're sure going to be
better off if one program dies out and you have 19 to fall back on.
And in some cases it can be easer to duplicate your success to
make that first $1,000 in the next program and the next and so on.
The key to doing this is to build one at a time over the years, by
focusing on one program till it makes you about $1,000 a month.
Then as long as you can keep that momentum, you can start to
put some focus on the next program.
Usually it's a lot easer to keep that momentum if you learn how
to leverage your time and energy through networking with other
people. That is the real beauty of the network marketing business
model to begin with.
Let's get a little more into the details of how this can happen for
you. Especially if you're promoting online affiliate programs and
products.
You see, online it's a lot easer to sell services and products to
the same people over and over again. This makes sense when
a new online marketer realizes that (s)he needs an autoresponder,
rotator, web hosting, tracking services, traffic programs, domain
names and so on.
If you can build a good relationship with this new marketer and
send him to your resource page that has all these services and
helpful products, then he might just join and buy it all over the
next year as he establishes his business.
When this happens, you'll receive one-time and ongoing
commissions from these sales. I like to call that residual income.
Then if you can find new marketers each and every day... well, you
can see how that can add up. :o)
Think about it...
You would receive a commission from the Autoresponder,
rotator, hosting, tracking, traffic programs and domains
programs. That's five programs you're now making income
from... and that's just scratching the surface. Then there's
membership sites, products, computers, web designers,
copy writers, and the list goes on and on.
The key here is to put yourself into a position where you can
help people by referring them to the best services and products
online. You pre-sell them from a well written resources page on
your websites.
After a while and when you've gained respect from within your
industry, your income will grow exponentially. Trust me this can
and will happen for you especially if you build your business right.
The bottom line is this...
Generating income from multiple sources is crucial to
Your long-term success and if you can do it, you will
establish a stress free, residual income for life... that will
generate the retirement you've only dreamed about.
